School Site Council
Hello and Welcome!
The School Site Council (SSC) oversees policies and budgets for our school’s Title 1 funds.
SSC is composed of school staff and parents and it makes many decisions on school issues. See our Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), which is the SSC approved plan for Freese students improving academic achievement.
Members are elected and serve two year terms. There are seven positions for parents on the SSC and seven positions for Freese staff members. Members are elected by their representative group and hold 2-year terms on the SSC. Typically 3 to 5 positions are open at the beginning of the year for new parents to join the SSC. If you are interested in serving on the SSC, please contact our front office at 619-479-2727 and ask that your name be given to Mrs. Hills, the principal. All nominations should be in by Friday, October 9, 2009. 2009-10 election ballots will be sent home to parents after October 9th and before the first meeting on October 22nd.
All SSC meetings are open to the public. Here are the planned dates and times for SSC meetings at Freese for 2009-10:
